Data & methodology

BondStats Daily has two distinct layers: a live primary-source financial agenda on the Daily homepage and dated US Treasury market-close editions. The live agenda may change as official calendars update; dated market-close articles do not inherit today’s agenda.

Allowlisted primary sources

US Department of the Treasury: Daily Treasury Par Yield Curve Rates. Federal Reserve: official FOMC calendars and monetary-policy pages. European Central Bank: official weekly calendar, monetary-policy decision index and publicly released ECB statistics. BLS: official release calendar and covered public-domain statistical material. BEA: official release schedule and covered public-domain economic statistics.

Dates are not interchangeable

Market data as of identifies the Treasury observation date. Edition date identifies the dated BondStats market-close edition. Effective/observation date is used for administered ECB policy rates. BondStats does not manufacture a publication clock time where none is persistently recorded.

Live desk versus archive

The Global Financial Agenda is live and appears only on the Daily homepage. Historical market-close URLs contain the market information tied to their edition date plus stable research links. A past article therefore cannot later claim that a current event is “tomorrow”.

Ranking and validation

The live desk uses source allowlisting, freshness and relevance scoring, event-type detection, deduplication, regional balancing and a seven-day window. A meeting start, policy decision and press conference are treated as different events. The lead is removed from the secondary grid.

Rights audit

No Reuters, Bloomberg, Financial Times, CNBC or other publisher article is ingested, summarized or paraphrased. Third-party photographs and charts are excluded. ECB third-party datasets are excluded from the reuse allowlist. Source links remain visible for verification.

Failure policy

The Treasury feed is the hard dependency for dated market-close editions. Optional Fed, ECB, BLS and BEA adapters are isolated and cannot take the Daily site offline if one source is unavailable.

Persistent publication records

From the V8 cutover onward, the first successful validation of a new publishable article stores a permanent snapshot in Cloudflare Durable Object storage. The stored record includes the exact first-publication timestamp, article HTML, headline, description and source metadata. RSS, NewsArticle structured data and the Google News sitemap all use that same timestamp.

Legacy archive cutover

Market-close editions that existed before the persistent publication system are frozen as legacy snapshots without inventing a historical publication clock time. They remain accessible in the archive but are not inserted into Google News as newly published stories.
