How to use this library

Chart language, not prophecy.

Financial charts are compression systems. A candlestick compresses open, high, low and close; a moving average compresses a window of observations; a drawing tool converts selected anchors into a visible reference. None of those transformations creates new fundamental information by itself. The useful skill is understanding exactly what a chart element measures, what assumptions it introduces and what it leaves out.

BondStats therefore treats technical-analysis terms as descriptive analytical vocabulary rather than guaranteed forecasts. On yield charts, futures charts and spread charts, the underlying variable matters: a bullish price move in a conventional bond is normally associated with a fall in yield, while a bullish move in a yield chart means the yield itself is rising. Volume and order-flow tools also require care because cash-bond markets are fragmented and may not provide the same consolidated activity data as exchange-traded futures or equities.
